If you have reasonable grounds to suspect that someone is directly responsible for seriously harming, neglecting, or mistreating an animal, please complete the form below to submit a report.

RSPCA WA inspectors assess reports, investigate concerns that fall within our legal powers, and take action in-line with the Animal Welfare Act 2002.

Do not submit this form if:

  • A person or an animal’s life is in immediate danger. Instead, please call the Police on 131 444 or 000.
  • The concern requires immediate action. Instead, call us on 1300 278 358 (7am to 7pm).
  • The matter isn’t directly related to an animal welfare concern, like stray animals and barking dogs. Instead, please contact your local council.

NOTE: We accept anonymous complaints, however we strongly encourage you to provide your contact details as inspectors may need to contact you for additional information before they can legally exercise their powers under the Animal Welfare Act. They may also need to contact your if they are unable to locate the animal based on the information provided. This can be critical to the animal welfare outcome.

Animal Details

Please include the specific property number and address, if known.
Any landmarks or distinguishing features of the property, the nearest intersection to the animal’s location, GPS coordinates, location on the property, etc.
Please estimate the number of animals impacted by the cruelty incident, and how many others are present on the property.
Consider breed, colour, sex, size, distinguishing features, etc so we can identify them.
Are their ribs, hips, or spine visible? Are there any visible health issues, like wounds, overgrown nails/ coat, skin conditions, etc?
If yes, please describe.
If no, please indicate how much you can see of the area that the animal has access to. Note: While RSPCA WA advocates for responsible pet ownership, current legislation does not consider leaving a dog or puppy alone in a yard to be an offence.
