Help for animals facing cruelty & neglect

RSPCA WA investigates animal cruelty and takes a leading role in enforcing animal welfare legislation in Western Australia.

Animal cruelty and serious neglect can happen anywhere, at any time, which is why we rely on people in the community to speak up.

If you have reasonable grounds to believe an animal is experiencing cruelty, please contact our Cruelty Hotline on 1300 CRUELTY (1300 278 358) or complete this form.

If an animal is in immediate danger:
Call RSPCA WA on 1300 278 358 or call the WA Police on 131 444.

Help for lost or stray animals

Lost and stray animals are the responsibility of local government. Please contact your local government if you find a lost or stray animal.

If you have lost your pet, contact your local government to see if they have been collected by a ranger. We also recommend you contact your local vet clinics and post on local Facebook groups like Pets of Perth – Lost & Found to spread the word.

Help for wildlife

If you find a sick, injured, orphaned or displaced native animal, please contact the Wildcare hotline on (08) 9474 9055 for advice (7am to 8:30pm daily).

RSPCA WA does not have the specialist knowledge or facilities to care for sick or injured wildlife, but if you come across a native animal in need of urgent assistance, Perth Wildlife Hospital in Malaga or your nearest vet hospital may be able to help. Click here to find out more.

If you witness cruelty being inflicted on a native animal, please report it to RSPCA WA.
